The right bag can make me feel like I can rule the world. Not really, but it makes me feel like I can leave the house in the most blah outfit and still feel put together. (1) now is the time to be picky

But preowned ranges from gently used to bags that look rough AF. So now is the time to be extra attentive to detail and really know what you are getting.

(3) buy in person if you can or make sure you see a picture from every angle
There is nothing worse than paying a whole months rent on a bag that has a huge stain on the inside or scratches all over. From one angle it might look new and pristine, but really be a trainwreck. So make sure you see the front, sides, back, bottom, inside and a close up of the hardware!
(4) understand the return policy
A lot of sites sell their preowned bags final sale OR have a very short window for return. So thoroughly read the return policy before you take the plunge.
(5) evaluate the price
Make sure you do some market research before you cash out. Make sure the price they are asking is the going rate across the web. While 30% off might sound great, that still might be WAY more than other preowned retailers are selling it for across the web! So thoroughly vet the price tag.
(6) consider a trade in
