5 best places to find reasonable jackets for your toddler

It’s my very favorite time of year, temps have dropped and we can FINALLY break into our furry and fuzzy favorites. BB’s fall to winter wardrobe consists of basic long sleeved shirts, basic leggings, and a KILLER jacket collection. We are constantly at the park, taking walks, and on the go, so her under layer just needs to be warm. And the outer layer needs to be fabulous. BB is at that age where she wants to look in the mirror when we put something on her and this leopard jacket is definitely her favorite. Her level of tude is generally high, but when she puts this jacket on she turns into a major diva and knows how cute she is. She literally struts her stuff down the street with the biggest smile. I’ve created a monster, in the best possible way.

Outerwear for toddlers is so much fun, but it can be expensive. Toddler’s generally destroy everything, so investing serious $$$ into something that is going to be covered in dirt and snot after the first wear is not a good idea. So I rounded up my 5 favorite places to find reasonable coats & jackets for toddlers.

OLD NAVY

Old Navy has been my spot this season. They have the best selection and the best prices. Aside from the best basic ts and tops on the market, they also have SUPER cute jackets and coats. I got the leopard jacket BB is wearing in the pics at the end of last winter on a crazy sale (it was literally $14) and it is sadly sold out. But Old Navy has almost the exact same JACKET. I am also dying over THIS tiny burgundy faux fur for the holidays.

RIVER ISLAND

This is definitely the least “reasonable” of the five, but the prices are still REALLY good for the quality you get. I love River Island because everything they sell is something I would buy for myself, just shrunk down a few sizes. I also low how neutral the colors are. THIS furry aviator jacket is too good to be true.

H&M

Well, H&M is obvious, but needs to be included nonetheless. The prices are almost too good to be true and I literally want EVERY.SINGLE.THING they sell. THIS pink velvet bomber jacket is too cute for words. Bonus, this is one of those stores where I can shop for the entire family. They have great basics for Blake, half my wardrobe is H&M and the baby stuff is just to die for.

TARGET

I am basic and I love Target. Who doesn’t? But sometimes the quality is not up to snuff. Their shoes tend to fall apart after one wear and you have to read the labels carefully to see if the clothes are going to shrink and morph with one wash. But outerwear, yes please! Toddlers get into EVERYTHING, so I have two separate jacket categories, the ones she can wear to the park and destroy, and the ones we attempt* to keep clean. THIS faux fur bomber jacket is $22.99, can be machine washed and is in my shopping cart.

MACY’S

I stopped shopping at Macy’s for myself somewhere along the way. The store itself feels cluttered and unorganized and I do not find the website very appealing or user friendly. But I am constantly asking moms at the park where they bought whatever cute item of clothing their child is wearing, and sooo often the answer is Macy’s. So I recently started checking their website for toddler clothes. They have sales every other day and they have some great basics. THIS Levi’s shearling jacket is unisex and so cute for boys and girls. Another nice thing about Macy’s is that you can find brands on sale that every go on sale elsewhere. Warm winter jackets are expensive, there is just no way around that, but keep your eye out for huge sales. THIS $175 Ralph Lauren down jacket is marked down to $104.
