Distressed Denim

If I had to throw away every item of clothing in my closet except one thing, I would keep my distressed denim. I have recycled these jeans over and over again with countless combinations. Most days, I can be found in these jeans and a white t. But they work dressed up, dressed down, with heels, slides, booties, sweats, bodysuits and everything in between.

Fall is around the corner, YAY, and jeans are the ultimate fall staple. Denim trends are hard to keep up with, lately. From embroidery to patchwork to flare, there is a denim fad for everyone to fall in love with. But a good ole’ pair of rippys is a safe bet. I think a great pair of distressed denim should be in everyone’s fashion repertoire this season.

Before you add to your denim collection, there are a few things to know about distressed denim. They take a little extra care and maintenance. So, here’s the deal. If you don’t mind your denim getting more and more distressed as time goes on, you can just throw your jeans in with your normal laundry. BUT, if you want to preserve that perfect amount of grunge, I suggest washing them on the delicate cycle and air drying them. Always read your tags, people. Every pair is different. Anyone else’s grandparents have a major beef with rippy jeans? Every time I see my Papa, he says some version of “I will never understand this trend.” Apparently, he missed the memo that all the cool kids are ripping up their jeans.

Here is my favorite distressed denim from around the web at every price. Some of these jeans are on MEGA sale, and prices will go back up. All A&F pairs are 50% off right now. Happy shopping!
